The historic Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration Grounds in Shelbyville, TN is home to The Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration®, which takes place each year in late summer for the 11 days ending on the Saturday night before Labor Day.

Nearly a quarter of a million tickets are sold to fans from more than 40 states -- fans that travel to Shelbyville, Tennessee to enjoy the excitement of the Tennessee Walking Horse and its National Celebration®.

The Celebration® is housed in a 105-acre complex in Shelbyville, Tennessee. We have 63 barns that contain 1,650 stalls, an outdoor stadium that seats approximately 30,000, a covered warm-up ring called Champions Arena, a 4,400 seat indoor arena for horse shows, and other similar events, and a well-decorated and manicured facility. The Celebration® is governed by a seven member Board of Directors to whom the staff reports. These seven members meet monthly to stay abreast of guidelines and goals that have been set in place for the staff to achieve.

Calsonic Arena, our indoor arena, can seat up to 7,000 people for concerts. In this arena we have had monster truck shows, circuses, country music concerts, dog shows, car shows, motocross events, rodeos, alpaca shows, etc., in addition to horseshows. The building was designed with the equine events as our number one priority, but we are delighted that we can host an event of almost any type. Calsonic Arena is booked approximately 40 out of the 52 weekends each year. Breeds such as Arabians, Ponies of the Americas, Quarter Horses, Spotted Saddle Horses, Racking Horses, Tennessee Walking Horses, miniatures, and saddlebreds, call our facility their "home" during the weekends that they use our world class facility.
