Santana’s El Niño
2008 World Grand Champion Tennessee Walking Horse®
The combination of Link Webb and Santana’s El Niño walked away with the Tennessee Walking Horse World Grand Championship, on Saturday night, August 30, at the 70th Annual Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration® in Shelbyville, TN.
Owned by Michael and Ann Jones of Lafayette, Ga., Santana's El Niño qualified for the championship class by placing second to Jose's Intimidator's first in the Section A preliminary. That was reversed on the final night, when El Niño claimed the top spot and Jose's Intimidator, with Jamie Bradshaw up, won the Reserve World Grand Champion® position.
Rowdy Rev and Bill Bob came in third, with Justin Harris on Gen on the Run took fourth. Fifth went to A Strong Dollar with Joel Weaver riding, and sixth went to Busting Special with Jimmy McConnell.
